All youth barrel bash started out as a way to give back to the youth in the barrel racing sport. Just a one-day show has turned into a huge 3-day event that brings youth and adults from all over, as far North as Maryland, West as Kentucky, and South as Florida. In just 7 short years (well minus 1 due to COVID) the show has grown from about 150 youth riders to well over 1000 riders in 3 days.
With that being said, we outgrew the previous facility in Lumberton, NC and moved to our new home in Williamston, NC, at the Bob Martin Ag Center. This facility houses 456 stalls, over 100 RV hook up’s, many outdoor uncovered riding arenas, one outdoor covered areana, and a state-of-the-art indoor facility that will seat up to 10,000 people.
Growing pains are great especially when your dedication is driving towards our future in the barrel racing community, our YOUTH! Over the 3-day event, Saturday is dedicated to our YOUTH only! Friday and Sunday are days for everyone to compete and show off their own talent. We have brought on a new twist for 2022; our youth will have 2 rounds (Friday and Saturday) and a finals (Sunday)! We will still have our open events for all others to show off thier talent.
